Morgen Snowadzky

Morgen Snowadzky is the epitome of unwavering curiosity. Her nominator said, “She is highly attuned to what she knows, what she doesn't know, and how she can expand her knowing through the exciting process of learning.”

Morgen is challenged to discover new things every minute of every day. She said, “I’m always trying to come to a greater understanding of why things are the way they are in order to create solutions that are responsive to the history, context, and complexities of a situation. The more we know about the world and the many experiences people have, the more we can work to be inclusive, affirming, and transformative in our actions.”

In her role as Assistant Director for Student Organizations and Leadership Development within Student Engagement and Campus Life, Morgen helps student organizations re-envision how they can engage members during a global pandemic and use their leadership to cultivate belonging.

Morgen has also contributed her inquisitive nature and innovative outlook to ExperienceVT through a spring pilot project in Pritchard Hall. She co-created the Goal Setting and Involvement workshops that help students set a personal vision guided by the Aspirations for Student Learning. And she has included the Engagement Ambassadors, a team of involvement coaches she oversees, in facilitating the workshop.

Morgen said, “Curiosity is an act of self-love. It gifts us with an opportunity to learn, to grow, to explore, and to understand. I’ve learned that approaching my sense of self and my relationships with others with curiosity has helped me to extend grace and be less frustrated with differences or conflicts.”

Morgen’s advice to others is to, “Always follow the rabbit hole! The rabbit hole will lead you to places you wouldn’t have thought to seek out.”
