Caillyn Jeffery

Caillyn said, “I am passionate about the arts and how they inform and elevate the human experience. I truly believe that who we are as a community, society, and world, is guided and connected through the arts. There’s a reason our earliest ancestors loved to draw. Our ability to create and alter the world around us is one of the most distinctive things about us.” 

Caillyn has been an RA for Studio 72 for the past two years. She chose to pursue the RA role as a way to help others who struggled with a sense of belonging, as she did.

Caillyn’s nominator said she is, “Curious about what makes people unique and what helps a student feel valued and confident in the community. Caillyn cares deeply for those around her and her insightful questions and encouraging support makes a difference in the lives of her residents. Caillyn meets people where they are, for who they are, and she often helps people be the best version of themselves by simply allowing them to be who they are in the moment.”

For Caillyn, curiosity is so much more than just asking questions. It’s about the pursuit of perceiving and understanding the world more deeply. She said, “Curiosity is what has led me to pursue new opportunities, even if I was unsure. Curiosity has informed my artwork and allowed me to explore real-world issues and personal identities in my work. Curiosity has led me to discover more about different disciplines, different identities, and different perspectives. I have a love for humanity and what makes us who we are. The ways in which we are interconnected with one another and our world inspires me to remain curious and continually learn.”
