A supportive community is important for your well-being, especially during college. It can be hard to know where to begin. But don't stress. Through ExperienceVT there are plenty of opportunities to connect with others.

Living Learning Programs

Hokies who are looking for in-depth involvement should consider joining a Living-Learning Program. These communities integrate what you study, where you live, who you live with, and how you think about the world.

Student Organizations

Joining a student organization is a great place to start your involvement journey. With over 850 registered student organizations, 52 fraternity and sorority chapters, and 32 sport clubs, you're guaranteed to find friends who share similar interests, hobbies, and goals. You can learn more about student organizations by visiting GobblerConnect.

Gobblerfest, GobblerFair, the Fraternity and Sorority Life Showcase, and other events offer in-person opportunities to learn more about student organizations.

Connect Globally

Virginia Tech's robust international community reaches over 120 countries from all regions of the world. Cranwell International Center supports international students as they navigate their new life in Blacksburg.

They also host a series of experiences that educate and engage the broader campus community with a wide range of intercultural programs and services.

Study abroad programs through the Global Education Office and service-learning programs through VT Engage are also available.
